Arrest History in McDonough County

Macomb's request form asks for the records sought, delivery choice, contact details, and commercial-purpose or fee-waiver status. WIU requests go to its University Relations FOIA office, not the county sheriff.

Inside McDonough County Booking
The 2024 IDOC inspection documents the intake safeguards used at McDonough County Jail. Staff verify the legal basis for confinement and identity, conduct a pat-down, fingerprint and photograph the person, inventory property and medication, and create a receipt signed by the officer and detainee. Staff also log admission calls and perform medical and mental-health screening.
The custody file may include visits, discipline, authorized absences, case disposition, judge, court, valuables, and treatment information. That does not make every field public. Medical data, private identifiers, juvenile material, victim facts, and active-investigation content can be withheld or redacted.
The inspection recorded a 58-person capacity and a population of 28 on September 17, 2024. It found no noncompliances. At release, staff use positive identification, record authority and time, inspect for injury, return property, and document medication release. Those facts describe the process, not any named detainee.
Recent Arrests and Booking Logs
McDonough County has no official online roster, booking log, public inmate profile, or daily police blotter. Call the jail for current custody. Ask the sheriff for historical booking information by FOIA, then use the Circuit Clerk after a prosecution is filed. The absence of a name from Recent Events proves nothing about arrest history.
IDOC search begins only after state transfer or for a person on parole. It is not a substitute for the county jail call. Completed state sentences can disappear from the live locator, while archived state material requires a separate record search request.

Custody, Probation, and State Transfer
McDonough County Jail holds pretrial detainees and county-sentenced people. It does not remain the custodian after a state-prison transfer. The IDOC locator accepts last name, IDOC number, or birthdate and may show current location, status, admission, release, and sentencing data. Its live results cover current incarceration or parole, not a complete historic county arrest list.
